The Boston Spa Art and Crafts Festival was started in 2009 as one of a number of community events to celebrate the centenary of Boston Spa Village Hall. The success of that first event resulted in the decision to run the Festival as an annual event. A feature of the event is that the artists are present throughout the two days of the Festival. This year will see the eleventh annual Boston Spa Art and Crafts Festival. The main aims of the Festival are

to celebrate and promote the sale of art and crafts produced by local artists and craftspeople
to encourage and support the development of young artists and craftspeople in the area
to raise funds for the ongoing programme of improvements to the Boston Spa Village Hall, which is a registered charity

After this year's Festival, we hope to have raised a total of more than £25,000 towards improving the Boston Spa Village Hall. Once again we hope to attract more than 1000 visitors over the two days.

The Boston Spa Art and Craft Festival celebrates the talents and skills of artists and craftspeople in the area. Work exhibited must be original and that of the artist alone from design to finished product. We like to include new exhibitors each year and welcome applications from people who feel they meet our requirements. If you would like to be put on our mailing list and to be considered for the next exhibition, please email Application forms are emailed out in April.

This year will be the fifth year that we have had an artist in residence. We are delighted that Gilly Boulton will be our 2019 Artist in Residence. To find out more about Gilly, visit our News page and click on the Artist in Residence 2019 link.
